Old School RULES

Well, sometimes and for some things. Business on the Internet revolves around traffic, and leads. If you don't have them you can't really conduct business. If you think about it, the same is true for "Brick and Mortar" businesses, too. Traffic-customers (leads) and then of course SALES and or Conversions.

For online business there are many ways to generate traffic and leads. The conversion is up to your sales letter or web site. You can bring them, but you cannot force them to buy/signup or even leave their info. I am a traffic generation specialist. I utilize everything I can to generate traffic and good serps (listing in "SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS PAGE"). At InternetMarketing-Mavens.com we do an outstanding job for our clients. OK..so where am I going with this? Old School versus New School Traffic. I have written previous posts on traffic exchanges. They are OLD SCHOOL-some of the original means of site promotion when mlm started really picking up online. I use them, both the manual and auto surf formats. They serve a very specific function, and both have hundreds of thousands of followers.

Many surf exchange owners try to add a new twist here and there to keep surfers interested. Most have affiliate programs and you can generate some nice monthly income from them as well as generating traffic. Some even offer returns on your purchases of traffic and are paying really well. If your lead capture page pushes the RIGHT BUTTONS you will get leads from traffic exchanges. Pushing the RIGHT BUTTONS is the conversion factor of your ad copy. AND traffic exchanges do provide traffic for your site. Traffic affects your Alexa rating which indirectly affects your page rank! (That is the true function of auto surfs!!) If you own your own site and domain name that traffic can really help you.

Many newbies are overcome with mail volume and just burn out on this method of marketing. But if you aren't using it you are missing out! My own e-Guide on safelist marketing can show you how to EFFECTIVELY utilize safelists in just 10 minutes a day. You do have to have some good emails ready to use. Some online programs furnish pre-written ones, which are OK-but you need your OWN subject line to stand out in the crowd. Safelisters love freebies, so offering something of VALUE can get you a great increase in subscribers to your Blogs, leads for your business and excellent TRAFFIC. If it's something you have stayed away from...better rethink it. Safe email is still the number one marketing method online. You can start building your own list for safe emailing too.

Old school Internet Marketing combined with Social Marketing can really generate traffic and leads for your service or opportunity. Old school is primarily Traffic Exchanges and Safelists. They are still very effective ahd thousands, no hundreds of thousands of online marketers participate and if you aren't among them you are losing out on many potential leads. I utilize these for myself and my clients. I have also been a major participant as an owner and partner at Christian Auto Surf, which unfortunately I have now resigned from, as I have no ability to respond to members needing help and my (ex) partner disappears regularly, so the service is non-existent. Traffic Exchanges Part 2

In my previous Traffic Exchange post I told you the difference between Auto and manual surf traffic. Let’s face it, traffic exchanges offer the BEST FREE ADVERTISING on the planet! So if you aren’t using them for at least 20 minutes a day you are missing out. On what? Traffic for yourself, keeping in touch with what is happening on the Web in online business, and finding some great communities.

I also mentioned starting over. That’s the case for Christian Auto Surf, too. I have been a partner in that program since it first began and helped launch it. I have however resigned, and am only a member there now.

Ever feel SABOTAGED??

Have you ever put time or money into a great promotion for a site, only to find that while your promo runs the site is down? OR..how about putting a great product online, and your payment processor gets shut down.
Sometimes it seems like the ANGELS OF THE INTERNET are on vacation when it comes to your own marketing and promoting efforts. I recently published my own Safelist Marketing Plan, only to be contacted that my PayPal was shut down. Here's a word of warning...DollarBlaster is a NO NO.
In my usual fashion, I joined something to help a friend. I know you've seen it, Dollar Blaster pages run on traffic exchanges and all over the place. They offer some marketing tools (I figured it was a no lose proposition) but PayPal shut my account down because it generates an affiliate page link with YOUR paypal address. I don't market it, the owners of the website are invisible-no responses to email and no means of contact. The program is a total RIP OFF, a cheap one, but the penalties are horrendous! Paypal won't even let you terminate your account until it is no longer associated with that site. What a pain!!! Whatever you do AVOID it like the PLAGUE!!!! It seems like the harsh world of Internet Marketing always kicks you when you're down. Well-perseverence wins-so hang in there!

Traffic Exchanges

Traffic Exchanges provide an excellent low cost means of showing your web site to others. Yes, they are showing theirs to you, too...marketing to other marketers, but let's face it. Marketers are buyers also, and multiple streams of income require multiple products or programs. You can even make an excellent income just from Traffic Exchanges!

If you own your own website they also help you with traffic rankings on Alexa which in a round about way helps you with your page ranking. Manual exchanges provide traffic and viewers, auto surfs provide the same, but sometimes without the viewers. People can just run an auto surf without needing to look at the sites, but that still provides a valuable service to those wanting to improve rankings, more so than the manual exchanges because the VOLUME of traffic provided is much greater.

In my previous post, I commented on Starting Over..Again and a couple of traffic exchanges sort of doing that too.

The first one, ASDCashGenerator really did something not many companies online have ever survived. They started out as Ad Surf Daily, a pay to surf site that was delivering some great returns!! The software however wasn't calculating the returns properly, it was over compensating the advertisers and they closed the site for rebuilding. That usually is a sure sign of DEATH online. They remained closed for quite a while, and came back as ASDCashGenerator. A lot of the original members are back and involved pretty heavily. They are launching a Spanish site which has stimulated incredible backing and interest and provided some excellent returns for ASD members. It is a manual exchange and requires surfing daily to get a return (rebate) on your own ad packages.

The owner and President, Andy Bowdoin, started with offline promotions so many of the sites you visit aren't the standard Internet -MLM-what's the hottest thing going. It is refreshing to see new sites. In order to get rebates on your own ad packages, you are required to view 24 sites a day so at 15 seconds each it doesn't require a lot of work or time. The payback is your original purchase price and 25%. Better than most things going. If you were previously a member you still have an account and your original investment in ad packages, so you better get back into it. If you haven't tried it, it's a great way to generate a good advertising budget and promote your own web site at the same time. You can even add to your income by inviting others to join and do the same.You can even join for free just like any other traffic exchange and earn viewings for your own site by surfing. I encourage you to give it a try-it has beaten the odds as an online program, now isn't our turn to do the same?

Great Article From My Partner-Outsourcing to Internet Marketing Experts!

There are hundreds of income opportunities available today, as a simple search will demonstrate. If you Google the term: income opportunity, you will get 3,190,000 returns. That's not the actual number of opportunities, but it is a lot of information about income opportunities.

Most of the information available is focused on how successful John Q. has become, as a result of joining this or that income opportunity. They talk about what they have, what they get to do, but not many tell you what they did to get there. Sure, they tell you that there was no work involved, but is that really true? (What...? They just signed up, paid the fee, and money just started flowing in like magic?)

Wake Up! Building a business, any kind of business, even a lemonade stand, requires effort. Even little children know that.

First the stand itself needs to be set up, next the lemonade must be made, and finally, they must advertise! They make a sign, and talk to everyone who walks by, inviting them to buy a refreshing drink, for a fair price. Their eagerness being so sincere and apparent, people just can't stop themselves from buying a drink. They [kids] know they need to do some work to achieve their goal, and they get after it! Kids know how to do business.

So then, why do adults have such a hard time wrapping their brains around the concept? There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of otherwise intelligent adults, out there looking for free money.

To run any business, you have to do some work. Sure, you've got a great web site, but it won't do you any good, if you don't put it in front of others' eyeballs. You have to get people to the web site, effectively, efficiently, and repeatedly.

Most would-be entrepreneurs are too exhausted at the end of the day, or never seem to have an end of the day; don't know how to, or don't want to make the effort to do what is needed to get people to their web sites to generate interest and sales.

I don't care what kind of spectacular follow-up software, or systems you have in place, if you don't get eyeballs to your web site, none of that matters. Auto dialing systems... People hate them. How can they generate anything but irritation, if people hate them? Invariably, you will have to speak to someone, present your opportunity and hopefully have some paperwork to do.

Something to consider, in solving this problem is to hire your marketing out. Hire someone to do all of the marketing tasks you don't know how to do, have time, or inclination for, for you. That's what big business does. They hire an advertising agency to market their business. They hire market analysts to study trends and make recommendations. They hire out! And, that is why they ARE BIG Business.

If you don't know what you're doing, you should delegate it to someone who does. You hire an expert when it comes to taxes, legal matters, home or auto repairs, and buying property, don't you?

Find an Internet marketing expert and get the job done. Hire a writer to write for you. You've got the business opportunity, make it your own, not just some replicated sales page. Make it unique. Offer something that no one else is offering.

Investing in your business is the only way you'll ever see a return. Whether you invest time, money or both, you must invest something in your business to realize any progress. Stop thinking about hands-off riches, and start thinking like a business owner.

Some thing for nothing... It's a lie. How much do you want to give someone for nothing in return? Every time I see the word FREE, I want to puke! In business, you have to pay to play. If you want to sit at the grown-up's table, you have to earn it.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK - While Madeline Schwartz has severely limited physical capability, it has put no limits on her achievement in life. Graduated June 2005, Madeline Schwartz has overcome five medical misdiagnosis, obtained her degree, helped change legislation regarding disabled access to educational texts, and been elected. She married her husband Mark and is currently learning her third language which is, Italian. As Madeline herself says, "I am proof that the mind is the most powerful tool of all."

Madeline was born in Puerto Rico and came to NY in 1994 seeking medical treatment for diagnosed ailment that has left her with limited physical capability. She has had five misdiagnoses since arriving, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) due to the rare symptoms of her ailment. The last diagnose was Lyme disease; although doctors are still unsettled with the diagnosis. She operates a power wheelchair using gross motor function of her shoulder muscles; she has little to no use of the fine motor function of her hands and no use of her legs. However, she has never allowed the situation to change her personality, keeping her positivity and mental strength throughout.

Unable to use her arms, Madeline uses a "head mouse" with an onscreen word prediction to type her papers, as well as utilizing "Dragon" speech-recognition technology. The Home bound program provides computers, video conferencing, softboards (Where as a teacher writes on a board in a physical classroom on campus, she can follow perfectly from home, also saving the material and studying at her own pace) and other types of telecommunication technology to communicate with students directly from the classroom.

While her physical disabilities do challenge Madeline Schwartz, they don't stop her from heading full steam ahead, both achieving personal goals and working tirelessly for change for everyone who lives with disabilities. "I have come to understand how powerful anyone, and in this case students, can be when we are organized for change," Madeline says. "It is especially important for students with disabilities to be organized and have a voice. This, of course, is not always easy as students with different disabilities have different needs. We are most certainly not one homogeneous group."

To that end, Madeline is Chair of the CUNY Coalition for Students with Disabilities and Former President of Queensborough's Homebound Student Organization. The CUNY Coalition was created to be a lobby and a voice for CUNY's disabled student population. "It's not easy to advocate for yourself," Madeline says, adding that disabled students are more likely to feel isolated and overlooked than the general student population. She has also served as the President of Queensborough Student Organization for several years and as a Homebound mentor.

Schwartz was instrumental in a campaign that helped pass E-text legislation, which has made textbooks available in alternative formats for students with disabilities. "The computer is essential for my career and future success because it opens up doors to independency for a person who is physically disabled," she wrote in a letter to Senator Hillary Clinton, working to get the legislation passed. "The problem that I am currently facing is that I am unable to have complete access to my books for college."

The problem had a very simple solution, but that solution involved the changing of legislation, never an easy task. Still, Chapter 219 of the Education Laws of 2003 was conceived, so that it is mandatory for publishers to provide digital versions of educational texts. "I believe that people with physical difficulties should have the same rights as everyone else," Schwartz says, "especially when my purpose is to be somebody useful in society and to be a part of society." She has also recently testified at City Hall regarding CUNY access for disabled students.

Her ultimate goal? She is interested in a career in the travel and tourism industry with a vocational center, and fully intends to walk again and would love to have a family. At the present, medical resources are very limited for a cure. Stem Cell Treatment is the only hope for individuals like Madeline. She has been chosen for an experimental treatment in California, one I hope to help her raise funds for.

Isn't Under Cover Profits Cheating?

I have been in online marketing for well over 10 years now. I have always gone with maybe the Not-So-Popular programs, maybe even the not so popular marketing methods, but I have always been honest, and tried to help others and have done so with much Success. The tactics on line today are becoming totally cut-throat. Take for example UnderCoverProfits.

The original name was "Profit Thief", now that has been changed to

"UnderCover Profits". Places are capped at 300, and it's effectively a low-risk job-killer.

The software does some very clever stuff in a pretty nasty way. The elevator pitch is this:

You enter a list of keywords into the program, and it finds any affiliate's ads that are running for an extended period of time.

I hope that has just hit you like a *hammer* to the face.

If not , here's the logic, and you should really listen closely ...

find. Either way, you want to take a campaign that has been running

It's a been a While-but Look OUT 2007!!

There are a lot of ways to do this, one of which is creating Sales Pages for each product or aspect of a product and driving traffic to it. The more Sales Pages you have out there, the better your rankings and traffic will be....you DO have to send traffic to the Sales Pages you create.

I have found a great tool for doing this, it's called CreateSalesPages.com. I told you about it at the end of November. It isn't an affiliate site so I am not making money by recommending it, but it has some great features.

The rage on the net right now is "Splash Page 2" which is okay, but to really make on line sales in a Niche Market, you need optimized sales pages, yes you can add script from an auto responder and collect leads, but you need the next page to be your primary website. The Goal is to get people to the site where you make your money.

CreateSalesPages.com also offers a hosting service for an additional $10 a month. The web analytics package that comes with it is phenomenal! You can see where EVERY click comes through.
The pages you make can be optimized by you, and even monetized with AdSense or whatever publisher program you use. I even have one with BetterTextAds on it.

You need a real domain name as well-GoDaddy has the best administration for domain names on line-at least I think they are.
