Did I waste my money on Sweeva upgrade?
Anyone who has followed me for any length of time knows I believe in Traffic Exchanges. ALL kinds.
I am a partner in two of them at this time, 2EZ2BuildTraffic, a great manual exchange, and DW Traffic Exchange an awesome auto-surf AND manual surf. Both offer great banner and text ad advertising also.
I read great things about Sweeva, and I admit at first it is really refreshing and a new concept. The owners have long been proponents of Splash Pages, but when I sit looking at sites I could care less about splash pages. I have no desire to get more "free" stuff that has been passed around online for the last couple of years and I have no desire to be on ANY MORE lists. It seems to me there must be others like me out there somewhere so it would behoove splash page makers to add at least one link to the actual site so I can see it.
I paid for a one year upgrade, but it looks like I have to bid for every showing of my sites. Of course my sites are a little cheesy (but I love them!) and I get not much feedback since I haven't really bid on too many showings. I have surfed it though, and how many times can I offer feedback on the same sites over and over? They are the same sites I see on every other exchange. The comments reflect a lazy..I don't want to read..attitude so.. SOS..Different day.

This is an incredible Social Network that combines Social networking with the power of WordPress! Truly ingenious!! Out of Retirement??
I gave up on MLM type businesses three years ago. The burnout from growing those businesses is incredible. The work to bring in people, their need to have "help" (really they want you to just do it for them) and the attrition from those who don't make instant riches..well..you ALL know what I am talking about.
There are so many new fabulous programs online right now, that I had to give in. It has always been my goal to help others, I love marketing, so I offered Web 2.0 marketing services. SAFE-paid in advance work and still online, where I love it. I have had to rethink it all, and am now working on three opportunities. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew, but there is a method to my madness!!

A traffic secret no one ever shared
“Covert Affiliate Links” is a software application designed to protect your income by masking your affiliate URLs which it does extremely well, but it does EVEN more than that and I am going to tell you how.

Tools for your own Internet Millionaire Project
I have established a strategy for making money to buy Pay-Per-Click campaigns which will be a GREAT boost for what ever products I choose. The strategy described in 123Cash System makes sense (although I am a little slow on the Forex end of it, but I will get up to speed). Basically it says, and I QUOTE:

You can charge people admission, you can publish great articles, charge others to publish their articles, and get the most ultimate meeting room online today all for one low monthly fee. So Much Happening!
Things on the web move so fast!! The improvements in things continue to BOGGLE my mind, and research for My Internet Millionaire Project (please subscribe-we can do it together!) continues to bring more surprises.
I haven't posted here for a while, my weekend warrior marketing makes it tough to cover all of the bases. I am an accountant, and after some misplaced trust and a financial disaster I have been working a full time J.O.B. to keep house and home together. That leaves only weekends-evenings I am too burned out to turn on the machine. That makes this time for me even more important-a LOT to pack into a short time for marketing purposes.
You must know from previous posts that I am a fan of Traffic Exchanges. YES..they do have a place in online promotions and lead generation. If you aren't using them at all you are missing out and adding 15 minutes a day of surfing 3-6 exchanges does wonders for your traffic, especially if you have your own domain. I love all of the freebies at LeadsLeap, they can be great incentive give aways for developing your own lists, or rewards for joining your MLM organizations. They are not only useful for learning, but have resale right, too. Another outstanding program for developing Leads is Why Start 2.0 and Never Quit from Al Turnquist. Unlike ANY other program out there, Al Turnquist took into account the current economic conditions and revamped for that very thing. He improved Why Start, discontinued a higher priced system and has not only gone back to basics, but does an outstanding job of SEO and ways to utilize SEO even on your affiliate pages, along with some great Web 2.0 training too. The training as always is outstanding, and he is such a charismatic instructor you just can't help but have fun learning to do the right things and developing your business!
MLM is all about leads-so try any and everything you can to bring them in if you truly want to grow an MLM business. If you have a service or offline business, as well as marketing online then you really need SALES SPIDER; they have some great access to Government Leads-free... and don't forget Spider Web Marketing, it is not only a great lead generator but offers 21... yes 21 streams of income!! I am doing well with it and making money with the few programs in the downline builder that require monthly fees. GDI and DirectMatches primarily. Both of those programs can be lead generators too. Don't forget, your best LIST is a downline you have already built that makes money in your organization!!! They know they can trust your judgement and will likely try what ever you try to lead them into.

Wii...Incredible...Have you tried one?
Do you have one? We got one as a family gift for ourselves this Christmas. It was tough to get one, they sold out as quickly as stores unloaded them...but it must have been mean to be, as we did get one before Christmas to wrap up and put under the tree.
I am mesmerized by the technology. It is INCREDIBLE!!! It works on your movements, goes online, does so many things I can't believe it. I started wanting one months ago after listening to my neighbor talk about how much fun she was having with the Wii Fit.
Then I heard this great story about Wii bowling on Thanksgiving. A family hanging out together, their mother has MS and is confined to a wheelchair. She did the bowling too, and they laughed and had a great family time. That sealed my wish for getting one.
I am truly blown away by the technology. You can even do your email and surf the web on it! I even played the games...not something I normally would do, but I had a great time! I was hoping I would be better on the Wii than I am in real life-but no..still the lowest bowling score in the group. If you haven't tried it you really should. I am so excited about it, I never thought such things could be possible!! Check out I am a Wii-Tard .

Blogging, Article Marketing on STEROIDS

How I Became the Guruette On The Net
Ever wonder why people choose the names, domains, etc that they do? Well.. here's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
I started "working" on the Internet in the early 90's. I truly watched Internet business and marketing develop. I watched the rise of all of the Gurus online, who so cleverly get you to build their list and sell their products while making you think you are building your own list and making some money being their affiliates. You know them-kind of the "Brat Pack" of online business and marketing-relatively young, great looking, smart and enthusiastic, etc.
My first money came from an affiliate travel program with "Hotel-Discounts.Com" and I'm not sure they are even still in existence as that same company any longer, but I made $650 in one month using their banner and I thought I was really onto something.
I have always known the Internet would be a vital part of business, any business. And..like Television and Radio..ADVERTISING would be a big part of the Internet too. Not just for online businesses but offline as well. After all isn't Advertising responsible for the Superbowl?? For the evening news, for every show you watch? Anyway-this is getting out of my story-so back to it.
I quietly worked programs, met others online through my efforts doing the same. I began to wonder who the REAL gurus were..the "Brat Pack" or those of us quietly developing what online network marketing is now. We were learning the best traffic methods, trying out things-you know, learning by trial and error. When I decided to put my own site up a few years ago I decided to be a Guru too-in an irreverent way. Guruette seemed OK-does it mean small when you add "ette" to a word, or female?? I didn't care, but there weren't many (and still aren't) female members of the "Brat Pack" so I figured why not me?? I had the scars and knowledge to back it up, even if no one knew I existed. So basically as a personal jab or maybe even triumph, I made myself the Guruette On The Net.
Has it helped me? Well, I enjoy my site..in fact I love it. Do many people do a search for guruette? No, not really, but hey I am still number one on that search..lol. And now I offer services to help people get good organic placements in the search engines for the keywords of their choice. I know a lot about how to generate traffic. I love the Internet, I love business and I love the combination.
That's my story and I am stickin' to it!

Old School RULES
Well, sometimes and for some things. Business on the Internet revolves around traffic, and leads. If you don't have them you can't really conduct business. If you think about it, the same is true for "Brick and Mortar" businesses, too. Traffic-customers (leads) and then of course SALES and or Conversions.
For online business there are many ways to generate traffic and leads. The conversion is up to your sales letter or web site. You can bring them, but you cannot force them to buy/signup or even leave their info. I am a traffic generation specialist. I utilize everything I can to generate traffic and good serps (listing in "SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS PAGE"). At InternetMarketing-Mavens.com we do an outstanding job for our clients. For those that recognize the VALUE of good serp placement we are the ultimate...for the price.
OK..so where am I going with this? Old School versus New School Traffic. I have written previous posts on traffic exchanges. They are OLD SCHOOL-some of the original means of site promotion when mlm started really picking up online. I use them, both the manual and auto surf formats. They serve a very specific function, and both have hundreds of thousands of followers.
Many surf exchange owners try to add a new twist here and there to keep surfers interested. Most have affiliate programs and you can generate some nice monthly income from them as well as generating traffic. Some even offer returns on your purchases of traffic and are paying really well. If your lead capture page pushes the RIGHT BUTTONS you will get leads from traffic exchanges. Pushing the RIGHT BUTTONS is the conversion factor of your ad copy. AND traffic exchanges do provide traffic for your site. Traffic affects your Alexa rating which indirectly affects your page rank! (That is the true function of auto surfs!!) If you own your own site and domain name that traffic can really help you.
I am partnering with Steve Pershall to start a new manual traffic exchange. We haven't really finished setting it up, but you are welcome to join me and see it develop. 2EZ2BuildTraffic will be part of the 2EZ2 product line, 2EZ2Host and 2EZ2Build for auto responders are two of the other products currently online. We will be offering discounts on the services to members of the traffic exchange, so join us and see what other products we bring on!
Safelists are the other OLD SCHOOL method of increasing traffic and leads for your business. Safelists also have hundreds of thousands of followers. Many newbies are overcome with mail volume and just burn out on this method of marketing. But if you aren't using it you are missing out! My own e-Guide on safelist marketing can show you how to EFFECTIVELY utilize safelists in just 10 minutes a day. You do have to have some good emails ready to use. Some online programs furnish pre-written ones, which are OK-but you need your OWN subject line to stand out in the crowd. Safelisters love freebies, so offering something of VALUE can get you a great increase in subscribers to your Blogs, leads for your business and excellent TRAFFIC. If it's something you have stayed away from...better rethink it. Safe email is still the number one marketing method online. You can start building your own list for safe emailing too.

Updates and News

WOW-it has been a while!

Traffic Exchanges Part 2
In my previous Traffic Exchange post I told you the difference between Auto and manual surf traffic. Let’s face it, traffic exchanges offer the BEST FREE ADVERTISING on the planet! So if you aren’t using them for at least 20 minutes a day you are missing out. On what? Traffic for yourself, keeping in touch with what is happening on the Web in online business, and finding some great communities.

It’s tough to be a partner with people online. They disappear, come back, do things you have NO CONTROL over. (Who needs control anyway?? God is the only one in REAL control here.)
